Default Help! acceleration hesiatates at part throttle

Im going to do my best to describe the problem here...

Just recently my car began to show signs of hesitation at part throttle, most noticeable at around 2200-2600 rpms. I have to really put my foot down to raise it above 3000. After that, the rest of my rpm range seems fine. If I keep the throttle around 2500, it will shake my steering wheel/ dash and if I let off completely it will send one loud *** backfire bang.

This literally happened right after I gased up one night. I was running 89 for about 2 weeks, and decided to put premium...and bam this happens.

I replaced the fuel filter thinking that was the problem, but it is still present. Could it be something to do with the fuel system? opti? exhaust leak? bad o2 sensors/ plugs?

I have a 1994 lt1 Camaro, auto w/ 98k miles. If you have any ideas, ayudar me!

When it comes to driveabilty issues like this it really can be almost anything that can effect your timing or fuel trim. That is a lot of different things. After saying the based on your description I would want to see what the map sensor output looked like.

May want to swap out the coil, when ever plug wire get so bad the cause a miss chanced are the coil has been maxed out for awhile. It is very common to have a car come back 2-3 weeks later "with the same issue" at least to the customers point of view it is the same. They always think we are ripping them off because we already charged to fix the miss
