Hard starting when hot.....
Usually after driving over 30 mins. Shut it off, go to re-start and it turns over.....tries to catch, starter starts spinning real fast then spins normally. It will eventually start but I have to keep turning it over for like 10 secs before she finally fires. Wondering if the injectors are leaking by and flooding it and how would I check that? Or are there any other ideas. Oh, and it does not happen all the time.

Leaking injectors flooding the engine was my first thought. You can check fuel pressure at the rail and see what it does after you shut down. Pressure should hold for a while. If it drops fast, your injectors are leaking or it could be the pressure regulator. If your regulator is bad though, you'll generally be reading too high of fuel pressure with the engine running.

What are the ratings of the stock injectors? Shoebox lists the part# as 17124248, but I can't find the specs. That part number is E.X.P.E.N.S.I.V.E.!!! Wanting to see if there is a cross reference to a cheaper version....

its not that much to have the ones you have cleaned and flow tested. stock is 28lbs. test your ect sensor, the one on the water punp. if its failing and showing -40 degrees it will do what you are seeing.

Ect sensor is new. Getting good temps on the scanner. Sorry for this dumb question, but what kind of place cleans and flow tests injectors? Do i remove them and take them somewhere? Never messed with them before.

Thanks Craby. Found one in Charlotte that charges $17 each. I gotta remove them and mail. May have to wait on that. I did notice today, when I went to replace my fuel filter, that there was no pressure in the system when I pressed the shrader valve on the fuel rail. I have had the battery disconnected for a couple of days and removed the gas cap first. I don't know how long it holds pressure in the first place, so I have no idea if this is even relevant. I think next time I drive it for awhile and have to restart, I'm going to floor it while cranking (a la flooded carburated engine), at least the butterflys will be open to let more air in...if she starts up right away, then I might delve into this leaking injector issue more...hmmmm...could this cause a running rich issue.....
