Default pcm tuning

hi all,

one of my pals over here in UK got a 1997 LT1 OBDII z28 and he's been looking for a tuner for it.

he says he's found either LT1edit OR jet tuning software jet 14005 (the upgrade of tunercats?)

im not familiar with either of these and he's asked my advice. what can you all recommend for him to tune the pcm his self ??

and is this ok for data logging etc??

i dont know what cable he is using. apparetly we the jet tuner doesn't scan, and is only a tuner. So he was going to get a generic OBDii to laptop cable and run PCMscan as the logger? Sound good ?
