Default another gen1 sbc in lt1 question

Hey guys, in going to start off and say this is not the typical "will my lt1 heads bolt to my gen1 block." I know this answer, my question is, I have a build 400 that I would like to throw in and use standard lt1 equipment. Such as harness and have ecm tuned. My goal is to use an intake from weiand (summit # wnd-0240) or if someone has one that will work better? This intake will allow me to use standard tb, throttle cable and tps. I can also use the standard delco injectors which will need to be upgraded I'm sure.

I'm not to worried about the fuel and air delivery, my question is using a standard dizzy since there is no way at all to retain the opti spark, crank or cam sensor. I know the lt1 can run without the crank sensor cause its for detecting miss fires. But what about cam sensor and distributor?

I know how I want to go just need a few options for firing and keeping this as close to fuel injection as possible meaning no carbed suggestions, please no LSx suggestions and no rebuild an lt1 suggestions. Just looking for a little help retaining stock harness and ecm as much as possible.
Thanks in advance.

opti has a cam sensor and crank sensor. both are needed to operate the fuel injection correctly. computer needs to know how fast the cam is going.

Does the 96-99 have a can position sensor in them that can be spliced/plugged in with factory wiring. I have a blown engine right now and its actually an obd1 motor in obd2 care and its running without crank sensor. I don't care to much about that code it will be eliminated.

obd2 have a cam and crank sensor. im sure the dizzy has a reluctor but has a pickup instead of a optical reader and the pickup does not have the same number of signals per revolution. do some more reading and see what you can find. it may be do able.

II have a thought and I was wondering if it would work, if I used a ecm from say a vortec v8 and reworked the injector wiring from the same vortec. would this work for my application? It would give me distributor use and I could use the stealth ram and just modify the injector part of the harness
Thoughts?

the bcm is mated to the ecm too so you will need to have that in the equation. the auto trans gets info from both.
