Default Stereo ???

I put a aftermarket stereo in my 97 Z28. I used a factory wiring harness. I get sound sound out of my door speakers and the ones in the hatch but I dont get any sound out the speakers by the back seats. The wires that goto the the nonworking speackers are green with a black stripe and blue with a white stripe and i dont see thous colors on the factory wiring that is under the dash and there are no extra wires. So does anybody know why these wouldnt work?

i changed the stereo in mine as well and i had this issue, check all the wires and make sure they are connected well and are taped up perfectly. the other wires that have no color match are useless as they are for speed controlled volume. they will hang alone but tape them up anyway. this is what fixed mine. also check the accessory fuse this could be an issue, when it blows things will malfunction one by one, mine blew when i changed the stereo and stuff started going nuts and it may have started with those two speakers not working.

sounds like a bose isssue. if your car has a factory amplifier it will constantly cause you problems. best route will to be un hooking the factory amp. if it is a bose system the amp will be by the rear sub. good lluck

mine has a factory amp, all my speekers work but i get a slight fuzz out of all of them, go to a stereo shop and they have what they called a "bose adapter", they plug it into the wiring into the amp and it fixes the impeedince between the aftermarket stereo and the factory amp, that should kick your back speakers on. thats what i was told by a stereo shop here where i am at

I cant find the amp. Theres a black plugin in the back left quarter panel and I have no idea what that is for. Maybe it was back there at one time and somone took it out?

could be a possibility.. in this case, it doesn't take long to rerun new wires to rear speakers from headunit..
