Default Accessory coolant fan not coming on

So I just got a 94 manual z28, upgraded finally from my 93 automatic, however like the title says my accessory fan won't come on when my engine starts to get hot. While I'm cruising down the road I don't have any problems with overheating since my main fan stays on all the time, its just when I set still for a little bit my temp starts rising and the aux fan won't come on. And yes I've let it reach pretty much the red mark before shutting her off just in case my temp gauge was wrong or something. Also I've disconnected the coolant temp sensor for the fan while the engine was running and the fan turned right on full power. I've tried replacing the coolant temp sensor but I still have the same problem. Also if it makes any difference my ac system is completely drained so I know the fan shouldn't come on when I turn on my ac but I would think it should still come on during overheating conditions.

I thought about it but I would rather try to get them working the way they should before I spend the money to do anything special.

Haha yeah I've had to do that in my nova, I was just trying to figure out what may cause my fans to not cut on

Hm, idk, I got one of my friends to hook a computer to it and the pcm is recognizing the same to that my temp gauge reads, which should mean that both coolant temp sensors are working right? Also is there a fan switch or somethin like that somewhere else on the engine? I've heard there's one above the starter but I haven't been able to find it on my car.
