Default 96 Z28 Coolant Leak

I'm currently in the process getting my headers re-coated andreplacing my clutch in my Z28. I've found coolant leaking somewhere in the front of my engine (not from the water pump or the heads) and i do see some more dripping from where the rear main seal is. I'm planning on pulling the oil pan and replacing that seal, but i'm cannot find where the coolant is. Has anyone had any coolant leaks in unusual locations on the engine???? I want to get this car back on the road but i'm not going to put it back together with a leak????

Check the seal on the back of the water pump where the driveshaft goes in, this will hide itself looking like its coming off the distributer. mine was just occasionally dripping, turns out the bearings in the pump were GONE! Dont get one from advance they suck, machined all wrong, bad fittings too.

yeah i ended up just pulling the water pump off and noticed the gaskets were pretty much gone, so i replaced them and haven't seen a leak since.

Default only when i park

I found that there is coolant under my car only when i park and back after half an hour , and when i park it on hill toward down ( its tail to the top of the hill)
i replaced the water pump 5000 KM Ago!
what it could be!
or the water was there before i parked!

well, this bump shows that you used the search function

are you sure that it's not water from the air conditioner?

so your leaking coolant at the rear of the motor or oil? rent a coolant pressure tester from your local parts store and pressure it up. then look for the leak. after pressuring up all i had to do was move some hoses around and push around by the clamps and found my leak.

androzer-there are coolant return lines from the heads that go into the throttle body on the passenger side. Could that be the location?
