Default 94 front bumper cover?

I found a 1994 camaro thats red and looks the same color as my 1995 Z28, They only want 40.00 for it, will it bolt right up to mine? Isnt there a color code some where on the car?

you found an entire Camaro for only $40; jump all over it

nah, I'm messing with you but if you read your post that is how it reads.

For that price close in color is fine. It will snap right on

Lol...it does!! Yeah just the front clip. Its at a local self service salvage yard. How can I confirm its the same color? I think the glove box and gaugea were already remove, and i didnt see a sticker in the door. It did still have the vin plate tho. Im colorblind so i just can tell. Im not sure if they used the samw red in 94 & 95.

I believe that the only shade of red available in '93-95 was the same paint. However, depending on how it has been cared for over the years will affect how much it faded from the sun and weather.

EDIT: After doing a little more research, it appears that there were two different reds and three different color codes for each red from '93-95, and the Bright Red was the only red available in '96-97. In '98 all of the color codes changed to coincide with the new body work. I have no idea if they are all the same shade of red, as the riptions seem to be the same. All of this information came from http://automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint_matched.aspx which is the site I ordered my touchup paint from (and it matched my Arctic White '94 Camaro exactly!).

Available '93-95:
71 - Medium Patriot Red Metallic
9913 - Medium Patriot Red Metallic
WA9913 - Medium Patriot Red Metallic

Available '93-97:
81 - Bright Red
8774 - Bright Red
WA8774 - Bright Red

So, does your car have metallic or non-metallic paint? What about the new front bumper?

where?

it cost me $300 to sand, blend to match, shoot and clear...........and that was with a discount

Of course that was a year ago and the clear on the car began to peel so I just re-did the entire car myself including the recently repainted front. We went with a brigher red this time

$250, do all the windows come out painted too? If you get PPG paint it's over $300 per gallon and that's without clear.

I used SW this time due to a person's employee discount. Using fleet style base and clear it was still right around $250 for paint and clear and I still needed primer, sandpaper, masking etc etc ......you get it

My hunch would be they use some type of enamel. If i could find a place to shoot paint for $250 and it lasted more than a year then I'd start re-doing cars for profit and do a few per year.

Maaco does use some pretty cheap, crap paint. They also do some pretty rough taping and most times are not too careful around weather stripping and badges.

That said, if you do all of the prep work yourself and sand the body yourself, do your own spot repairs, and talk with the manager of the Maaco, you can usually get them to spray what you want (as long as you bring it to them).

I had a Maaco in California paint my '64 Nova years ago and they did a good job of actually spraying the paint I brought. I did all of the body sanding, removed all trim and removed front and rear glass. All they had to do was mask the wheel wells, and the missing glass, wipe it down and spray away.

It looked real good until I sold the car five years later.
