I'm 23.

Just got my 1998 Z28, will have it paid for here in a couple of months. Then I've got my 2005 RAM 1500 (pavement princess edition, 2x4 with a 2nd gen 4.7L Magnum) which is paid for.

I don't envy all the guys around my age driving all these new chargers, mustangs, and 5th gen Camaro's. Car payments are not on my list of 'things to have'. Being military, I see all too-often guys, and gals for that matter, getting into almost insurmountable debt with just their cars.
One guy on my ship bought a RAM 2500, with every factory option you can get, a few years ago.
I darn-near passed out when I heard him say it, but I think his walk-away price was somewhere north of $75,000 for it.
Absolutely bonkers for a truck in my opinion. Especially one that a transmission won't hold for very long on (it's a Cummins), and that's got known electronic solenoid problems with the front differentials. But hey, it's got floor-coolers and factory fox-shocks!....?

I'm 26, purchasing a '98 Z28. 164k on the ticker. Might need a trans rebuild soon. It's having shifting issues so I referred to the drivetrains thread where they mention the 4L60 common probs. Very excited to own my first f body nonetheless and can't wait to put some elbow grease into her!
Cheers

I`m 59 and I have owned a 1973 Nova SS hatchback. And still own a 1979 Camaro Z-28 RS.and a 1981 El Camino SS,of which is my daily driver. My Nova (of which I bought in 1978) was more of a Pro-touring car. Before the term came to be known as such. And both the Camaro are Pro-Touring cars. The Camaro is the more extreme of the two. I just happen to like Pro-Touring Cars because they are more balanced on the street than drag race theme cars. And that has prevented me from getting into accidents.caused by other people .Especially on curves.

I'm 47, just got the 1970 Camaro SS and been enjoying the "Thumbs per Mile" I get driving it around town. I see a lot of 60's and new Camaros, but not many 70's Camaro's around here.

then couldn't take it no more , had to get back to a V8.
97 Z28 Auto White
had to have a manual so I got a 99 Z28 6 speed pewter color.
still have both the Z28's
