Help with exhuast selection
I'm looking to get a cat back for my 02 ss, The stock exhaust is just too quiet for my taste. I also don't want it to be too loud or drone inside. I'm trying to keep my Camaro close to factory since it is in mint condition with 8k miles on it, so I was considering the slp loud mouth II (since ss's are made with help from slp) and I already have the slp air lid. If its too loud worst case ill have to spend a little extra and get the optional power flo mufflers added on.
I was just wondering is the ss's exhaust louder than the z28's? (that way I wont be overwhelmed as much by the sound increase when I get new exhaust).
Any other recommendations besides the loudmouth II?

If you have Y2Y but no SLP RPO sticker, this means the SS is a Basic Alteration - brushed alum 17 inch wheels, hood, and four-legged rear spoiler.
Send SLP the last 6 digits of the VIN and they will tell you.
My first '00 SS had Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust installed by the original and it was nice -definitely loud when pedal was buried - but then, its ASR kicked in and pulled the pedal off the floor.

Well, I just got done installing the loudmouth 2. As I expected it is a bit too loud now, especially when I'm cruising around in 3rd or 4th at lower speeds and give it a little gas it drones inside. I have buyers remorse now. I was thinking about adding the optional powerflo mufflers, but then I realized that the driver side tail pipe (before the tip) barely has any clearance as it is around it so with the mufflers added on I would have to aim the exhaust pipes downward making the tips look like they are hanging too low like in this video at the end
which I don't want either.
I cant even put my stock exhaust back on because I had to cut it up in order to remove it.
So what are my options now, pay for a whole new different exhaust and sell this one?
By any chance will this exhaust get any quieter after it "breaks in"?
