1984 z28 convertible

Default 1984 z28 convertible

hi my name is todd I just got a 1984 z28 convertible and was told that it is a rare car.does anyone have any info on this if it is realy rare or not thanks

Gm didn't start offering a 3rd gen convertible until the 1987 model year. Those weren't done "at the factory" though, they were converted after the fact by a company called ASC. See if you can find a tag showing who did the conversion (ASC, Coach Builders, Choo Choo Customs etc.). Is yours considered "rare"? No, not in the respect of it being a rare option, as it wasn't one. It's very uncommon, but it is an aftermarket conversion that a previous owner had done, much the same as if a sunroof was added.

thanks what I had heard was it was a 9000$ option that was sent out to another company from gm the one thing that I read was there were less than 250 made in 84 I got that off google though do you think it should raise value any
