Default Engine replacement

I have a 2000 3.8 V6 camaro that i would like to put an LS1 in. Any ideas on what I should expect? Do I need to put in a new transmission? Anything else I should consider replacing?

Here is a link to a thread on this website that will help you. My advice is the same as every ones on this thread just buy a V8.

[&:]save yourself the trouble and buy what it is that you desire a complete running ls1 car. no there is no problems doing it as long as you dont count money , time and this is if your a GOOD mechanic. not for the backyarder or weekend oil change guy. there really is no good reason for this type of swap there are too many cars available in the configuration you desire kurt

Exactly. Its usually not worth it unell you really have an itch to scratch, and if so you wouldnt be asking about it on a forum.
If you really really really want to we can help some. Take ALOT of pictures, get some baggies to hold all the parts in. How much money is in your budget for this?
