305 Head Springs
I recently removed my heads off my 305 to put new springs in and Im a having a hell of a time finding a valve spring compressor that I can rent that wont break on me.My question is, is there anyone on here that lives near Huntington WV I cold pay to do it for for cheap?

Man, what kind of spring compressors are you breaking? Is changing the springs the only thing you're doing to the heads? Because you don't need to remove the heads to replace the springs.

The junk that screws down from autozone.I took the heads off to clean on everything and put new gaskets in.I bought a cam kit that came with new springs and basicly wanted to dissect my motor to look for cracks because the motor wouldnt run prior. but I think the problem was the timing chain, I could touch the chain together when I pinched on it.

Not sure of this link works but your Autozone should have a loan a tool for a better sping compressor. You pay for the tool then when your done you just return it.

If you're going to buy one; save some money and get it for nearly half at Summit. Under $50.
