WHICH CARB???

Default WHICH CARB???

ok so here is the thing i have a 454 that has all this egr crap and i took all the egr stuff off so its non-egr now...i already replaced the manifold now im looking into getting a carb. i called summit racing and they told me to go with a good 600 cfm carb or aok 650 cfm carb but when i called jegs they said i should get 725 cfm or a 750cfm carb...so which one do i get??? 600cfm or 750cfm the motor is all stock no cam or anything the only i changed was the manifold which i had to change. and if you want to know what carbs they recommended me therelisted below.i called 4 different places and all of them recommended something different..i dont plan on doing anything to the motor till isaveup some cash to really get it going i just need a carb that will get me by for awhile but feed it enough gas so it runs good.. let me know guys thanks

road demon jr 725cfm 4 barrel
edelbrock 1805 650 cfm
holly 600 cfm forgot the model #
edelbrock 750cfm 1407

It will run OK with any of them, but if you don't intend to do some serious racing, the smaller carbs will give better throttle response, and make the car more pleasant to drive on the street. The larger carbs will allow more power if the engine is modified to make use of them.

if you havent done any real big mods to it the smaller carb will work fine.I agree with z28pete a smaller one will have better throttle response
