3.4L V6 Modifications
Just out of curiousity, looking for alittle input on what can be done to a 3.4L V6 in order to squeeze a bit more performance out of it. The engine in question, will be a 3400 series, which will be rebuilt and have said performance modifications done to it. The car is intended for daily driving, and what not. Basically just a little project to get my old car up and running, to give to my son as a graduation present. A V8 is out of the question, for insurance reasons, so i'm leaning towards doing a few things to this 3.4L and to the car as necessary.
* Any input on things that can be done to the car, without going insane and making it less reliable for daily driving or something along those lines, would be appreciated.
* Any input as to other modifications, other than the engine modifications that need to be done. Say changing the transmission / rear end, etc.... More mods are planned, just getting a feel of what all will be done to the car.
Trying to make it as fast as possible from a dead stop, without going overboard. No concrete figure on the budget, just more or less doing the project in stages. Saving up, doing the modifications to the engine, transmission (if needed), etc...etc....

RE: 3.4L V6 Modifications
You do know that a V8 would have no impact on the insurance if the car started with a V6, as the insurance quote would be based on what the VIN says the car has, not what a look under the hood says it has, right? That is, unless insurance regulations are differnent in your state than they are here.
