Default i have a problem with my exhaust system on my 2000 camaro shaking

hi I have a 2000 Camaro with the 3.8l v6 and my exhaust shakes while idleing and driving the support member for the exhaust looks like there may be some type of support or bracket that goes in between the pipe and the support member can anybody help answer this question I would greatly thank you

First make sure that the engine is idling smoothly. If it idles rough, then the shaking of the engines will cause the exhaust to shake. If the engine is shaking, misfire or bad engine mounts are usually the cause and you need to address ithem before messing with the exhaust.There should be some sort of flexible joint between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipes to keep normal engine motion from transferring to the exhaust pipes. If the exhaust was worked on, there is a good possibility that the flex joint was done away and the exhaust system put back together as a solid unit. This is a common practice of cut rate exhaust shops avoiding the cost and work involved in doing a proper job. If the engine idles properly, and the exhaust system put together properly, they you should make sure the proper hanger placement and isolating mounts are used.
