I just purchased a dynotune nitrous kit and im doing a 75 wet shot. My next step is im doing a STS remote mount tubrocharger with a 6psi boost. My first question is, will it be safe on a stock LT1 and secondly, will it be safe along with a 75 wet shot? I also saw this Cry-O2 injection kit, where it pushes -30 degree air into your engine and help keep it cool.I thought using cry-o2 might help with heat, but i dunno you guys are the experts lol so tell me whats up.

Here's the tubro kit by the way

Also if you guys can find anything a little cheaper please notify me, I don't care if its a SC or TC

If rear mounted turbos work so good, why do car manufacturers go through all the trouble of mounting them in front as close to the exhaust manifolds as possible?

are you saying don't buy it? lol

dude i know we have a history on this forum, but for now on can you just be mature? Either if you can help me then please post and lemmie know, and if you feel like you have to say something like this next time then don't!! No one wants to here your stupid, immature comments. If you feel the need to same some stupid sh*t like this to me again, then just PM it too me. This a camaro forum, its open for questions AND NOT STUPIDITY! If you feel this question is stupid then please just be mature about it, no need to insulting.

CO2 actually inhibits flame or fire. So that would not help you reduce your heat. If you had an intercooler and sprayed onto it, but not in it, it would be benifical. If you want to run more boost and Nitrous, then water injection would be what you're looking for. It uses winshield washer solvent that has methanol in it. The water will evaporate and cool down the air, along with the methanol. The methanol is like extra hydrocarbons (more octane) to reduce knock. One thing you will have to tune is your computer to handel the extra boost. Your stock computer will only retard it 2 degrees to work with different grades of fuel. So I would have an extra fuel tank for the wet part of your nitrous kit.
To do so, get a fuel cell or small 1-4 gallon fuel tank. Fill it with NON-leaded racing fuel. Hook up a fuel pump and it should turn on only when you hit the nitrous button. Then take the lines from your kit and hook that up from your fuel tank to the pump then from the pump to the selinoid and from there to your jet.
Turbos are very interesting creatures. There is a sweet spot on where to mount a turbo. You want it far enough away from the motor to keep things cool, but you get too far and the air slows down. The IDEAL location to put a turbo is where all the exhaust pulses blend naturally. That will give you the most boost and the quickest spool up. If you go with a turbo, you need to get a fuel pressure regulator that has a 1:1 reference. For every pound of boost, you get1 extra PSI of fuel to go with it.

thanks alot man, but im thinking of forgetting about the tubro, and getting a SC now with only 4.5 psi. I heard too much about STS remote mount tubros, plus im safer running 4.5 psi with a 100 wet shot.

Yes sur

Also note that since the turbo is located in the back the tubing leading up to the engine will further cool the air thur making more HP up to about 40 more hp i think.

Keep thinking about it. Just remember that by hanging the turbo at the end of a 20 foot pipe, by the time the exhaust gets there it will have lost most of its heat and seriously contracted thus reducing the pressure available to spin the turbo.

I asked my friend about this (who works at sk-speed, a performence shop by me)and he thinks the STS tubro is better than mounting it the frontof cars with a block bigger than a 302.
1. There's not as much heat being push into the engine, and since the tubro is rear mounted, cooler air is now being forced in. 2. The tubro will stay 250-500 degrees cooler than a front mounted turbo, therefore not as much stress and long lasting life. 3. denser exhaust gasses to drive the turbo turbine wheel more efficiently. 4.it hasbuilt in intercooling from the heat dissipation through the charge air tubing thatislocated out of the engine compartment and exposed to ambient air. 5. the front is too cluttered, therefore it is cheaper and less labor to mount it in the rear.

He thinks its better with the STS turbo rather than a procharger. He said the only difference is power off the line. However he said the STS will give around the same power but its a cheaper set up. Also to have the tubro front mounted requires alot of custom work and will be extremly costly. So this he what he told me, now im totally up in the air on what im gonna do lol.

What were the bad things that you heard about STS i was thinking about getting one as well
