The best drifting tip: Don't be a ricer. Drifting is for ricers. Real men call drifting "doing donuts."

RatedZ, just because you dont drift with your car, doesnt mean you have to knock the dude. it does have a huge following and yes its mostly ricers, but if we start getting our cars in there ;)

When did I "knock" him? He asked for advice, and I gave it to him. ;)

The key to drifting a camaro is power, lots of power. U will also need stronger sway bars, panhardern and good set of shocks. The key is really having a car with good weight distrubition and enough power to throw the rear end around and enough skill ( which is just pratice) to hold it together! the best thing to do is take it out to an empty parking lot just after a rain and have a good time trying diffenent things out! Its a huge scene that the american car are just getting in too!

my honest answer as for drifting not trying be a jerk but dont unless u want to put a tooooon of cash into doing it cust the afore mention upgrade will be nessicary and youll need alot of practice and practice often involes walls and its a little known fact that walls hate camaros so ya thats my two cents

There are a couple ways you can drift. The feint drift is when you first steer away from the direction you want to go and then towards it. This will offset the balance of the car and if you can get the timing right to floor it, it will allow you to kick out your rear end.

The easiest is to just pull the e-brake while starting a turn and then releasing it and applying the gas. The idea for any kind of drifting is to control the rear end with your gas.
There are two ways to start a drift. The first is the clutching technique. When approaching a turn the driver will push in the clutch and shift his car into second gear. Then rev the engine up to around 4000-5000 rpm (it all depends all the model of the car being used) and then slightly turn away from the turn and then cut back towards it hard while at the same time popping the clutch and causing the rear wheels to spin. At this point the drifter has a loss of traction and is beginning to slide around the curve. Now comes the hard part. You have to hold the drift until the next turn. To do this you must keep your foot on the accelerator while at the same time adjusting your car with the steering wheel so you don't spin out. It's not as easy as it sounds. Then as the drifter reaches the end of the turn and approaches the next turn which is in the opposite direction he must cut the So do you have an auto or a manual?

drifting is cool if ur good at it but even then idunno seems like a waste a waste of money into ur car and waste of tires and a waste of time but if u really wanna do it practice get down some good techniques and find a parking lot with no walls or poles near by
