I went out last night and bought bushings for my upper a frame but then found out i had to take them to a shop to get them pressed. Does anyone know how much that would cost? or Would it be cheaper to go to a junkyard and buy an a frame?

You can probably borrow a bushing press kit fro Auto Zone. Loks like a huge C clamp with various adapters. By the way, what you are working with is the upper control arm.

Thanks pete. So should I just go with new bushings or go to a junkyard and find a good upper control arm for a 93-97 camaro?

A good junk unit will be less work, but I have a feeling they are hard to find. Give it a try, nothing to loose.

Thanks Pete. Also i was wanting your advice... Im about to "engineer" a really great cold air intake for my 3.4 If i complimented the induction system with a port and polish of the Intake manifold would I feel a difference and what is the price range for port and polishing a manifold would you guess?

it probally isnt worth it on a v6, just save your money and buy a nice Lt1 or LS1

It cost me $35 to get all 8 bushings pressed for my 79 Camaro.

I bought an upper control arm with the bushings and all off of a 96 z28 for $50. It would have cost me about 20 bucks to get the the bushings pressed when I checked at the local body shop. and 25.00 a piece for bushings at auto zone.
