i just got my sts turbo 8 psi boots you think my 305 can take it? The car got 86k miles for a 82 new 350 turbo trany. and new cam new carb and i all so just got new headers 2 from hooker.

JD1969 06-26-2005, 05:39 PM As far as I know the STS kilt was made for fuel injected cars, I may be wrong on this. Have you asked STS this question, from what I hear they are pretty good to deal with and will be straight up with you. RxBaNDiT 06-26-2005, 08:27 PM They told me i will have to get a kit that go's over the carb. and do a little more to get it in. But they told me it should work just becareful on how i mount it. RxBaNDiT 06-26-2005, 08:33 PM The engine only had 145bhp but i think i may have goting it up to 200+ New cam carb headders and computer chip. but on the carb the computer pluges into it. its a Qjet from rochester stage2. JD1969 06-27-2005, 02:58 AM My buddy is putting a blow through system on his car. I do know that the Q-jet is not the best carb for this type of application, he is using a boost specific carb. I'll talk to him soon and find out how he has it set up. One thing that is to your advantage is the low compression of your motor, but your power is going to be severly limited if you stay with stock heads. RxBaNDiT 06-27-2005, 03:40 AM i can take the heads off and get like a 1000 or 2000 off of them there not shock heads tho i got summit roller rockers arms on it. thats what the guy told me he put on there when i had the cam put on. But if it better to just but new heads i can do that. but i am not wanting a ^*% lode of power i just want to beat some of thes street racers. I went out last night i beat a few of them a CRX and a some others but i would like to maybe able to keep up with the WRX STI guys and and some others. blk79camaroproj 07-01-2005, 12:39 AM well ill put my 2 cents on the table i had a nissan 240sx coupe 1996 and well i smoke the hell out of 5.0s and all the incepter motor car and i had a steel crank set of speed pro pistions cylinder head 270 cam t15 turbo with 22psi of boost and in the 1/4 mile i ran a low 11 on street tiers i spun um 75% of the time i ended up selling the car with a cracked block and if u ever run into a sr20det or a stock rb26 u might wana dbl check your self cause i had about $5000 in my car and i knew i could smoke just about neonw i raced i ran in to dewd ridin at missions skatepark had a neon with the turbo and he just put a dif waste gate bov and intercooler i sed after we get done ridin lets go drag i killed him just stomped his ass on the freeway running about 65mph we took of i didnt let off till i couldent see the camra man we ran a little over a mile and he couldent touch me so words of advice dont think your bad just cause u have 4 more cylinders cause i red lined at 7400 and rpm gauge maxed out at 9000 and i know my camaro blows at 7500 and redlines at 5800 so tuners do have u with rpms because rpms are power i had 573rwhp and 496fpt@5600rpm@22psi RxBaNDiT 07-07-2005, 05:16 AM Ok my turbo came in and i got it all put on. IT was hard i had to make some stuff.
