Spinnaker

Well I might as well introduce myself here on the forums. My name's Spin, I'm 18 and I just bought (to my mother's horror and my dad's delight) an all black 1983 Camaro Z28. I've been a GM fan since birth, and this is truly my dream car. I only have a few pictures up, but I'll tell you a little about it I suppose.
It has non-original paint (which matters to us, but that's ok... everything in due time.) The paint is black, it's a fairly good job save for the over spray on some of the fenders. Little to no rust on the car, it has been garage kept for ten years and never driven in the winter (so I plan to keep it that way entirely). It has the 305 with a 4-speed auto. I know it's not a tire-roaster, but it sure is great for cruising. The T-Top was a must on this car, so we found one with good seals and weather-stripping and no leaks. My dad used to have an all-white 83 Z28, exact car but with a manual transmission. So it's kind of ironic that I buy an all-black one. Haha!
The interior is a lightish blue (not faded and except for the few dash cracks, all mint condition). The guy hooked up a 1000 watt stereo system in the trunk which we WILL be re-wiring for reasons such as...
1.) Turning headlights on inhibits the speedometer, RPM gauge, and oil pressure gauges from working. This made me laugh.
2.) Turning windshield wipers on makes RPM gauge bounce like girl's chests at Hooters on a Friday night.
3.) I don't know if this is related, but the speedometer is at least 20km/h ahead of what the normal speed is.
The car mostly has small issues. Replacing some small seals along the doors, the carb needs to be tuned, new tires, blah blah blah. Easy as pie for me basically.
The guy had it painted three weeks before we bought it, not knowing that he would end up selling it (his wife made him in an argument I gather). He sold it to us for just over 2g's.
Yes, I paid for it. It's my dream car and my parents are realistic when it comes to money. NO HANDOUTS! They always say.
Side note: The windows on this thing are as black as the night sky with a very illegal tint (obviously...) I took one pic of the window reflection to show you just how dark it is. I LOVE IT but my mother can't stand it. It'll be lightened soon enough.
Well, here are some pictures if you're at all interested guys.
Nice website.
