What is the difference between the Eibach V6 and V8 lowering springs? Is one stiffer then the other or are the cars different? I have a 94 camaro that was originally a V6 car but now has a SB V8 and now i dont know which springs to order. (v6 or v8)
thanks in advance for the help [sm=violent053.gif]

you will now want the ones for a V-8 because they are stronger to support the added weight. if you look at a lot of the Ricers out there, a lot of times they go with a weaker spring so they can get a height drop. that is totally the wrong thing to do because the car bounces too much and becomes uncontrollable and VERY dangerous. the wrong springs will also give your frontend components premature wear on suspension components and tires
Eibach will tell you all you need to know also. they are a pretty decent company although they have been known to have their shares of issues

KYBs are a real quality shock and have never experienced any ride deterioration with them
SLP is really a great source of springs for F-bodies (not so much for others in my opinion) because they were a GM approved OEM dealer.
Eibach is great with F-bodies, their issues were with other makes..Hotchkis is another great dealer and they seem to have more matched suspension packages
you won't go wrong with either one

I was also looking at the eibach for a v6. How easy are they to install, and do i need to buy new sturs/shocks when i do?

Installation depends on what year car you have in mind, just be careful and not hurt yourself with a flying spring. Before you go around replacing springs, make sure the front end is in good shape, inlcuding tie rod ends, bushings, ball joints, steering gear, struts/shocks,and tires. Bacause that is what really makes a difference in handling. Stiff springs in a clapped out suspension will not help much of anything.

If you use the old struts, most likely you'll need a new bearing. The balls like to fall out due to lack of grease to hold them in.
