hey just wondering if by chance anyone knew of a web site where you can order lambo doors for a 96 camaro

its not the doors themselves, its actually a whole new mounting hardware kit with wire extensions and everything, and it runs over $1200. probably find it on ebay

my nephew has lambo doors on his 01 vette and it looks sweet, if youve got the extra money i say do it.

I've done it to my 2002 camaro. As far as I know there is only 1 other person in the world that has had it done to their camaro.

Trust me you don't want to go through that mess.

It will cost you MUCH MORE than 1200 dollars.

The doors ARE NOT for function, they are ONLY for looks. It's a total bitch to have it done, and I would only reccommend one guy in the entire country to do it. He's in Chicago.

By the time you are done it will cost you around 5000-6000 dollars.

Yeah, but they don't do 96-02 Camaro.

If you have one, go outside, stand by the car and study the mirror. Then you'll know why it'll become a BITCH to do.

If they make a kit, (which they don't) It's not bolt-on, and it requires some heavy modification.

And actually.... after looking at a few of their kits, they seem REALLY flimsy. I don't know if you have ever had to remove one of your doors before but they are extremely heavy.

I highly suggest getting a kit from DECAH if you are going to attempt this. DO NOT get an Auto-Loc kit.

I would love to have the lambo doors! My car only cost me 4,500 so I think itd be pretty stupid to spend more money on the doors than the whole car is worth... Your car looks really nice, I love those rims (I have the same ones). Where did you get that fuel door?

The blue neons look hot on ur car, I love it.

Through trial and error, I found that the polished chrome gas tank that is made from mitsubishi CAN fit the camaro, through extensive modification..

Step 1. - Buy the fuel door.

Step 2, Take the fuel door to a metal finishing company - These are the guys that you take things to to be chromed, or polished, or copper plated.. whatever. He will have to remove the coating that is on the fuel door, and in doing so will shave off the portion that makes it fit better. You may have to make two trips, and it helps to let him know what EXACTLY you are doing. Take the car with you.

Step 3, You need to fashion a metal O-Ring that goes around the inside of the car's fuel door enclosure. This is so that you can secure the chrome fuel door using the hex-nuts that are affixed to the door.

Step 4, You'll need to remove, and reattach (to the new chrome door) the rubber stop that holds your gas cap to the stock door.

If you are competent in the shop.. doing this should be no problem, but if you take it somewhere it's a good 6-10 hours of labor. (not counting the metal finishing)

and by the way your 02 is hott love what ya done with it, minus the wing on it, but its still looks good.

Nice Camaro Austin, But im not too fond of the Huge ass spoiler, ricey tail light and neons. but other than that its cool ;)
P.S. how many horse power does that spoiler give you?? 100+??

Lambo doors on anything but a Lambo is rice, sorry but thas how I feel and many people will agree. The dude has a Camaro which is a nice car, don't try and make it somthing it is not.

Sorry, but it looks toooooo much like a Mitz 3000 GT. maybe thats what you should have got instead then you would'nt have to make a Camaro look like one. I will agree, that is a unique look for a Camaro, and it looks great, but now it looks like alot of ricers I see around my home town, which all look the same to me.

If you wanted to do crap like that to a car, you could have just bought something foreign. They have a huge after market and most of them just do aesthetic work anyways. The last time I touched a camaro door was like umm yesterday and I remember those doors are heavy...take that into consider because GM makes their doors heavy and eventually the hinges will start to bend.

The camaro looks good let him do what he wants to his car....but there are somethings that need to stay with the civics and tibs. but overall nice car[sm=icon_rock.gif]

Well if you know a good fabricator, go ahead and have them installed. They do tend to leak since the door no longer has factory geometry. They have to modify the door latching mechanism and such. Some bolt in kits actually work, I have not had a chance to research which ones do best.

Personally I think the car looks badass. It doesn't look cheap. Which to me is what makes something ricey. Some of you people on here think that anything someone does to their car is rice. I think the way everyone's camaro looking the same looks dull and tired. It's all right for people to make their cars the way they want to. And it's not rice if it's got the balls to back it up. Especially if there's an LS1 cradled inside of it. ;)

You know... ignore all these guys. personally i think the car looks freaking awesome, love the wing. The fact is its your car, you paid the money and put in the work and effort, so you do whatever you want to make it your car. i have a 69 camaro with a good deal of modifications done to it and all i ever hear from the purists and restoration guys is " how could you do that to a 69 camaro"? cause its my ****ing camaro, its my vision of what my car should be not yours. same goes for your car. if thats what you want, then ignore everyone else. your cars badass.

It's not a bad car .. But the only thing that urks me is it's a SS Camaro.. Parts of it look cool, the altezzas and such are choice.. The body kit sorta ruins it, kinda gives me the impression that it's a V6 camaro with an SS hood and a body kit .. But overall, nice car .. It'd look A LOT sharper without the body kit though, with stock bumpers and such. Just thought i'd through my 2 cents in
