Hello, I have a 79 camaro. Like my 1980 camaro, the outer wall of the rear tires rub the lip of the 1/4 fenders whenever I go over speed bumps, etc. This cuts into the tires and makes them look like junk. I have 255-60-15's on 9 inch wide centerlines. The car has air shocks. Does anyone sell a rubber bumper type device that would go between the frame and rear end housing to restrict the rear end from slamming up there and keep this from happening. I know that such would cause a rougher ride and be a less than ideal situation, but I do not want to start changing wheels and/or reducing tire sizes. I would actually like to step up to 275's. I would be willing to put new leafs or shocks in if that helps. I also read somewhere about rolling in the lips of the wheel wells. That does not sound like something that I would want to do, unless it is easier than it sounds. Help, Thanks.

See exactly here the rubbing is happening and you'll get a clue as to how to proceed. My 70 had a problem in the front and button headed allen screws helped there. The bolt head was round and shallow enough to keep from gouging my tires on hard corners.
