I installed a new head unit and amp and sub in my buddies 99 V6 camaro today and everything works well. The only problem is when he goes to lock his car his alarm goes off. I remember seeing a harness behind the stock head unit that i didnt know what it did, so i just left it hanging free. I take it that this harness is for the anti theft.

What is the easiest way to fix this problem?

There should not be anything in the radio harness that has anything to do with the alarm. The BCM may be behind the radio which has alot to do with the car. When does the alarm go off? Opening the door with the key? With the keyless Fob?

word on the streets is that i need to get a new wiring harness that has a split in it for the additional harness that i originally left hanging behind the head unit.
