For the first time here on CF, it's 5th Gen ROTM. This is another milestone right here on CF folks, so go look over the albums or the 5th Gen section and lets get some of the newest generation up for the running.
Nominations are open for the November 2009 ROTM. We are going to run this until October 15th at midnight central time, unless we need more time for more nom's. Then we start the fun part, the voting and campaigning for your favorite ride and CF personallity.


Remember the rules before you nom and accept.


The first order of business is to set up some hard fast rules. I will be monitoring the nominations threads very closely to avoid any confusion upon voting.

Eligibility

To be eligible a member must have a photo album. This is to ensure pics end up in the voting thread, so that the casual user can know who he is voting for. Anyone being nominated must also be an active member. This means he or she must have had at least 5 posts in the previous month. No one car can win ROTM twice in the same year regardless of catagory, but, if you happen to have more than one car, you can win once with each car. Also, a member cannot win the same ROTM catagory twice in a row with the same car. This means that bi-annual catagories can be won a maximum of once per year by a single car, and that annual catagories can be won a max of once every other year by the same car.

camarobob sees that he has been nominated twice and accepts his nomination thus ensuring his spot on the ballot.




In any given month, each user will have 2 nominations. You can give only a single first nomination andyouhave the ability tosecond someone else's first nomination, you cannot second your own first nomination. You cannot nominate yourself. Both of your nominations can be used to second previous nominations.

Nominations will take place during the first week and a half of the month PRIOR to the month of interest (ie, if we are doing march ROTM, nominations will start on Feb 1st and run for 2 weeks).

Because we are a reletivelysmall community right now the rules may be fudged somewhat in the interest of filling the ballot. However, if nominee #6 fulfills more of the requirements than nominee #3 (if for instance #3 did not accept his nomination) then #6 will win the ballot slot. If you are nominated without all of the requirements and decide to make the necessary updates be sure to PM me (or the moderator overseeing the current ROTM nominations thread) that the updates have been done. This way, if the entry comes down to a time stamp, we will be able to make a fair call as to who gets into the competition.

Once Nom'ed
Most of the time nominations will not take up the entire two weeks. Once a member is nominated it is his or her responsibility to PM me (or whoever is looking after ROTM at the time) with a URL to the picture they want used during voting (max 800x800 pix), and the URL of his or her photo gallery, as well as (optional) a brief description of the car to appear below the picture. The message can include mods, times, resto, or originality information. Do not waste your time making a long message because there are size constrictions and an overly long message will be reduced in size until it is illegible anyways.

Just to get the particulars straight, the stripes are actually CGM (Cyber Grey Metallic)... the Black ones are a matte finish, (non metallic).... and don't quite pop like the CGM.:icon_wink:

I look at it like this, you can put whatever you want to in the description, but the people on here are not idiots. They are not going to vote for what it could be, they are going to vote for what it is and what you've got it in, time, money and work. So it's whatever you want to do as far as I'm concerned, you can't BS this crowd!

How dare them meet within 2 miles of my house. I gave a 1970 Mach I owner a little taste of the glory in front of all his Musty friends. He was hooked before he got to 3rd gear. I bet Chevelle Man didn't have 12-15 from a Stanger convention sweating his ride this weekend.

I'm not about beating another 5th Gen on a forum, I'm here for the brotherhood. If I'm going to beat another 5th Gen, bring on the next ride. I like the car but it's no contest.

At any rate, I am not a huge fan of the 5th Gens, but you all certainly have nice cars, and I hope to see a few more pop in before the vote starts just to keep things interesting. Chevelleman, I am obviously a fan of black cars, but your Orange looks amazing. =]

It was a stock 67 near mint, he said it was rated around 360hp. I guess it wasn't a fair race but still pretty cool. He takes good care of his baby.

The voting thread will be created on the 16th at 1201 a.m. central time. That's where your brief descriptions and 1 picture (send me a link to a pic) will be shown. After I create the thread, you are more than welcome to start campaigning. This means posting more pics and talking more about your car in the voting thread. You can change your sig to say "vote for me for ROTM" or whatever you want to. DO NOT creat threads in other sections campaigning for yourself. You can only do that in the Off Topic section. Any others will be deleted from that section. If you don't know what I'm talking about by brief description, this is a example:

"Her name is Sofie and she means a lot to me. No performance mods yet, but custom interior is in the works soon. Scoop, rims, grille, and custom paint job were already present when I bought her. All lighting except for tail lights (they're on back order) are aftermarket."

The hood doesn't line up. A pretty cool looking ride, are those 22's or 24's in the back?

Since you haven't been a member long enough, sorry but you can't be in the running, but next year you can. Although I don't know if a company project car would really get the nods that a personnally owned regular guy car would on this forum.

The hood is just set on the car right now as well as the fenders. We just took it off the frame table and set the body panels on for some pics. And we will be running 24/22s but the wheels on the back are 22s in the picture. And this car is owned by Julie Stokes. Co Owner of Status. Personally Owned, just taking it to SEMA
