Alright, I bought a Pioneer Premier cd player, bought a cheapo wiring harness from Autozone for GM vehicles 88 and newer, hooked it up and it turns on and acts like its playing but no sound comes out. Then I left it hooked up but took the wires from the cd player for the speakers and hooked them up to a bookshelf speaker and it sounded good.. So if it will put out sound to bookshelf speakers why isn't there sound coming out of my car's speakers? The only thing I can think of is maybe a bad harness but I think that's unlikely. I have a 95 with the bose premium sound system.. Is there a stock amplifier that could be messing it up or do I need a special part to make the cd player work? Any help is appreciated, I'd really like to get it hooked up this weekend. THANKS!!!!!

yep, BOSE is your problem...there is a factory amp, try this first. There should be a blue wire the back of your pioneer deck which will say "system Remote Control" or something similar to that, now connect that to a blue wire that is coming from the harness you got from autozone. Now if your real lucky that is all you will need and away you go. If it doesn't work or sounds like crap then you need a special harness to interface with the BOSE system. If that is the case you are better off going to your local stereo shop and have them get you the correct interface because the basic GM ones will not work. The BOSE system sometimes uses common ground for the speakers and also requires pre-out level input to the amp or else it sound distorted when you turn it up.
