my engine is running very rich, so rich in fact that it floods itself and every time i try to start it i have to wait for the fuel to clear before it will get a good turn. its the 5.7, any ideas on what i should play with to reduce the richness of the fuel?

I don't know about the richness of the fuel, although one has to be rich in order to fill the tank. But as Sick mentioned, we need to know what system are you using, fuel injection, carburator, forced induction, etc.., in order to give a sensible reply.

I'm Not Into TPI So My Knowledge Is Limited. But I Do Know Fuel Mixture Is Controlled By Your Computer And It's Sensors. Is Your Check Engine Light On? Sick

May want to test the fuel pressure regulator, as it may be allowing too much pressure to the injectors, also check the O2 sensors.
