As some of you know or have come to know, I was not chosen as a mod here because of my computer literacy. It is because of my surly personality. That said, can someone come in here and go, step by step, into some kind of barney style detail on how I can post a picture in a thread using one of these newfangled photobucket type of sites?

cpl, do u have photobucket?

make an account on photobucket. photobucket albums has a pretty obvious interface for uploading pics. u can even drag and drop them in there i believe.

once u have some up, each of the uploaded pics will appear as a thumbnail in your album.

below each thumbnail is 4 links (they are to the right of the image if u are in single image view, ie u clicked on the image in the album rather than just staying in the album view). the 2nd link is the "direct url". it contains no coding BS. this is the one u want.

now come to the thread, having copied this url. above the quick reply box (the box at the bottom of the thread, incase ur used to using the "new reply button", its below that button and below the tags yet) is a set of tools that look like microsoft word buttons. u have a coule "A"s, B,I,U, a color selector. the one that looks like a globe with a chain link in front of it is the weblink button. the next button is the picture link button, and finally u have the quote button. (this is assuming u set ur preferences in the userCP to "advance text editor", go to userCP > edit options, i believe the last dropdown menu u have is text editing options. advanced means the pic will appear WITHIN the text box. standard means the url will appear with the bracket codes WITHIN the text box, simple doesnt give u the buttons)

use the picture link button, yellow background with what looks like 2 mountains, and paste the URL of the pic in the box that pops up. click ok, and ur done. uve hosted a pic.

slvr was going to do a walkthrough with pics here eventually. if i get enough done today I may do it instead. lemme know if ur still having trouble
