So i was minding my own waiting on a red light, when this white civic pulled up next to me. I looked over and the car seemed to be stock. So i started revving at him and he rolls his window down and says *nice car* so i replyd by * wana race punk?* so the light turned green and i beat him by 2 cars. It was a great race. He gave me thumbs up! i gave him the finger. Just wanted to share m story.

I agree with Shaker, at least the kid complimented your car and was showing respect, so what was the point of beating him?
The ricers I can't stand are those crappy loud ones full of cheap decals and every body panel in a different color (or shade of colors). The ones that think that a smoking 160k mile civic is cool and feel king of the streets; those are the ones you have to beat, to make 'em shut up their loud punk mouths. If you beat the stock ones, that doesn't say much, the cars are in different leagues when stock.

i agree, he gave you respect, maybe he couldnt afford a high performance car so he got what he had.we are all car lovers, be it mustang, corvette, camaro, or in this case a civic

I have to agree with LiquidBlue... and, it's not news that you would smoke a stock civic with a camaro. It would have been news if the civic looked stock and he smoked you in 2nd gear. Then, I would have asked for the guy's license plate so I don't make the same mistake.... :D

As much as it pains me to say it, even people who don't spend every last penny that doesn't go towards food and shelter on a muscle car are people too. Besides, he'll probably go on to have a much nicer car, and a cheaper insurance bill than you anyway. Also, I think you should know that your Camaro is a turd if it only took a stock Civic by 2 lengths. My 86 2.8 TPI 5spd could have done better.

My poor butt drives a Honda Civic. Stock. My out-of-tune needin-new-sparkplugs half-way-runnin 305 '87 will destroy my civic.

And, should a stock car, whether import or domestic, be called a ricer? I've seen some "Muscle" civics, and some "Rice" F-Bodies. Whether it's a boosted 4-Banger or a Cam'd 8, if its fast, its fast. Isn't that what racing is about, who is faster? Nice bragging, but there are 9-sec Civvies out there, on street tires, that I would love to see bash on a monster V-8. Just my opinion, seeing the light to both sides of the debate.

ok dude i cant belive u fliped the guy off and called him a punk i used to kill civics by at least 6 cars when u race a stock civic it doesnt even feel like a race and thats when my 3.8l was stock now i dont even bother racing any more my car runs 13.13-13.37s but dont beat up on 4 bangers some r fast and my stock focus beats up on some camaros 3.4,3.8 and the older ones i think 3.1 at least he respected u but i do agree about the pinks guy i think his a vin diesl wanna be
