Hello,

My Z28 started with no problems a few days ago. It died after only driving one street block. The starter crancks but no engine turn over.
I have checked the foloowing:
- all fuses
- enough fuel
- no sparks to plugs
- no spark from coil to distributer
- battery is okay and has enough crancking power

What other troubleshooting steps need to be taken in order to determine if this a fuel problem or electrical?
Oh, one other thing, when I turn the ignition switch, I hear the fuel pump on.

Thanks,

you said there is no spark at all? that means your coil has fried, happens a lot.

does that have an HEI distibutor?

Yeah that's what I figured, so I replaced the coil. I'm still not geetting any spark from the coil.
Are the wires feeding the coil coming from Electronic Module?

Mike,

How would I check to see if I've got a HEI distributor...
