I was wondering if i install the slp flowpac on my 01 z28 will it make the check engine light come on, or is there a plug in the system that will go into the mass air flor sensor,

It's just a lid/CAI right? if so it will not set off a trouble code.

Someone told me the slp wouldnt work with my stock hood i have a z28, i dont got the ss hood so i will probably go with k&n or volant, which one do you suggest?

The regular SLP lid will fit any hood. All LS1 air lids are pretty much the same, I would go with whatever one I find the beast deal on.
