Ok here's the deal. Most of you know that I am driving my camaro to Ohio at the end of June. Then I am driving west to Missouri to see my bff 350rs in St. Peters. I have hotel reservations at the local Holiday Inn and we will be there until sat.

We are planning a meet on July 4th thru the other camaro forum that I co-admin at. Camaromadness.net. We have a few from that forum that are not to far from Missouri and are willing to drive to New Townfor a meet onJuly 4th. One of our members has a sister that lives in New Town, Missouri and did some checking and the event director of New Town wants to know how many cars there will be, we can be in the parade that morning and have reserved parking at the amphitheater all day. Then watch a kick ass fireworks show that evening. This is something that could be a really great thing.

So what I would like to know from the members of this forum who would be interested in joining us this July 4th for the meet. We do have a sponsor and he is going to donate some great door prizes. Please post up soon as we need to jump on this opportunity asap.

ok here's an update for those who thought possibly on coming.


I got more news from the event director. It will not cost us anything, all we have to do is show up at New Town before 9 am and we are in the parade, and we get premium amphitheater parking all day, but, I need at least 10 to 15 cars committed. I was told that he'd take less then that as long as we can commit to something. You guys are looking for a venue, I found one this can be the start of something big, but, I need help. This is the biggest American pride celebration, he wants an American muscle car show. Let's keep this snowball rolling.

I am not clear as to what is going on.

Good, we need all we can get. My camaro may or may not be there, all depends on a few different things.

I think from what i know of it, we are around 10 or 12 people showin up. only about 6 or 7 CARS for sure though. Since mine is up in the air idk if i will be there or not.

Well it has been requested that we try and get as many muscle cars....not just camaros to come out for this meet and parade. I am working on getting details on just where we are to meet up for the 4th so we can be in the parade and then where we can go from there. The guy in charge of getting us into the parade it looking to get 20 cars in the parade.

I think this is to be a good old fashioned grade A american muscle car thing.

I agree no imports. The fourth of July is about America. Lets keep it that way.

For a map and directions to New Town go to the link I posted earlier in this thread, click on the contact us link then click the map link. There is a Comfort Inn right there close to New Town. What I know as of today (Sunday, 11th) is that we have been invited to have a meet at New Town on the 4th of July, We will be able to participate in the parade and will have reserved parking at the amphitheater for the day. The event coordinator is looking to get at least 15 cars in the show, However, he will take what he can get. If we can pull together and make this work, we may be invited back each year. It's all baby steps, but that's how great things grow.

From what I heard New Town is like a ****ing cult.
These people that live there have to paint there house a certain color,
and have to sell the house back to New Town if they move.
Read some of there web site its kinda weird.

Well this is a camaromadness.org sponsored event so that's what the t-shirts are going to say. We opened up this meet to camaroforums.com and horsepowerforums.org as well because it has become a muscle car meet for the parade and not just for camaros. We are working on getting some removable vynal stickers for our cars. I will see about getting some made up for camaroforums.com. But I need to get some def commitments on who is really coming.

ok we need to know exactly who is coming out for this and what kind of car you all will be driving. Even of those friends that will be tagging along for this. I would like to add that I have a gift certificate from Summit as a giveaway. I will try to have some more info on t-shirts and stuff this weekend.

And to any and all that I sent a pm to last night saying the meet is in St. Pete.....actually st pete is where I will be staying. The meet is actually in New Town which is like 10 min down the road.

i Live about an hour and a half from st peters, i have no idea where new town is.

ok so there are quite a few of us that are in the middle of major car projects and cant have our camaros there. We are still going to have a meet in missouri but I think the car parade part of it has been canceled. But we are still having a meet in New Town, Missouri. New town is part of St. Charles, Missouri.

The details.........well it seems now that soon New Town is going to be flooded with all the rain. I am still going to St. Pete Missouri to visit 350rs. We are still going to have a get together but no parade. Too many of us are in the middle of big car projects so our cars wont be there. Just us......if you want to come out for the meet I will keep you posted on whats going on in the next few days. I am leaving for missouri on Tues July 2 and will be in St. Pete for 3 days.

I am not sure about the exact location we are hooking up at. I am told there is a restaurant at the east end of the ampitheater in New Town....suburb of St. Charles. I just got here to Missouri today and got checked into the hotel. I will post up more details as we figure out exactly where we are gonna be and what time.
