What wax out there is best for scratch removal ???


Just curious as to what everyone is using and what they consider to be the best on the market today ??

Meguires Scrach X is great for removal... So is 3M scratch remover (good luck finding this on public market)
I detail cars professionally, I use Ardex quick wax and Sterling Labrotories Green Monster Cleaner wax. As far as general public waxes, Meguire's 3 step package and their gold class wax or Zymol's cleaner wax.

I would recommend Meguiars Gold Class or NXt generation . They are very effective with the 3 step process and will bring your car to a brilliant shine.

i would recamend zymols especially if u have a black car or red u can get pigmented wax itll set u back a bit but it works great as far as scratch remover i use liquid glass itsvery good but if ur not carfull u can damage ur paint its that strong i also use jewlers rouge its like a 2500 grain jewlry polisher that is very forgiving on your car i mean u can put it on alot it works great hope that helps

man im just using a really cheap 5 dollar turtle wax for my 78 and its working fine
i havent put on the hard shell coat on yet though so i dont even know if it was worth paying the extra 5 bucks for that

last time i waxed my car i used the clay bar then the ice wax. its like a liquid and i thought it worked real well

liquid lustre only way to go man....

I strongly suggest that you give Wizards Wax and other Wizards products a try. I is the only wax I will use on my Camaro and in my Autobody business. The have a web site with information on all their products you will have to do a Google search for them.

I use 90% Mother's products on all my cars and get lots of compliments at the cruises and shows. I am a little more anal then most though so I think that helps in the looks I get out of the products

this same question gets asked on other forums I visit and some serious fights get started ove rthe difference of opinions

Geez, asking what's a good, cheap..........whatever never works, Good and cheap don't go together too well. If You have a good paint job that You want to protect, pay the price. A great paint job will run into the many thousands of dollars so a good, expensive wax will protact it. Listen to the guys on the forum and buy good stuff at whatever it costs and protect Your investment.

Meguairs Wax nxt is like 15 bucks but is amazing and that 3m scratch remover is sold at AUTO ZONE, it works pretty well too...

Meguiar's Cleaner wax is fairly cheap 4.99~ 8.00 depending on where you go Plus it is easy on easy off you can do the entire car on even the hottest of days and this wax wont melt or swirl the finish even after settling for an hour.

"cleaner waxes" aren't the way to go and that's why they are cheap. you really can't get a deep shine from them because they are not good to layer. you are better off claying the car, then going with a good Mother's wax.
