Just bored at work. Remembering an old gm performance catalog called "GM Power catalog" from several years ago.
They had motor blueprints for the Cadillac Intreped IMSA GTP car.
4.00 inch bore and 3.20 inch stroke. small block turning 700 hp at somewhere around 11,000 rpm. And could run 24 hour races somewhat reliably. The engine had one one thousandinth bearing clearences. They had to circulate heated water through it to fire it.
Also, it was a normally asperated engine. no turbo or supercharger.
Remeber the old addage,
Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?
