New 406 in the camaro. Installed a new MSD 6al, blaster 2 coil, and a new MSD pro billet distributor on the engine. The engine has been thru the break in process. It was sitting for a couple of weeks until I had the free time to install. I get fuel, spark, and the engine cranks over. Its not starting. WTF? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you certain the distributor is in right? If the engine has already been run, was that with the MSD unit?

The distributor has not been touched or moved in any way. Installed the super conductor spark plug wires, wired upthe 6al Ignition, and new coil. I took out the old Msd 5200 and old coil.

Try putting the old stuff back in and see if it runs. The coil or 6A box could be bad.I had a brand new defective MSD distributor that gave me fits and wouldn't fire. I put the old point distributor back in and it fired right up. I sent the MSD distributorin and they replaced the pick-up unit for a fee!
How about valve lash...maybe too tight? just a thought...

Took a look at the wiring diagram in the Chilton manual. The ignition wire from the Msd was hooked up wrong. Fires up without any problems after fixing it.Now all I have to do is clean up the wires and weld in the new super 44's. Thanks..

I still need to wire up the factory tachometer. How do I hook the muncie back up correctly. Its spinning when I start the engine. I don't have the chilton manual handy.

Update.........Got the 6al hooked up. Flowmasters are in and sounds good. I bought a high torque starter to replace the old factory one. It runs fine but it is hard to start with the weaker starter.

Well, that will happen. Good to hear you got it running.
