HEY GUYS MY FIRST THREAD .MY PROBLEM I HAVE A 396 IN MY 69 I HAVE ELECTRONIC IGNITION IVE BEEN PLAYING WITH THE GAP ON THE PLUGS TO GET THE BEST PERFORMANCE .ANY IDEAS ON GAP AND EVEN PLUGS THANK'S FOR ANY HELP.

O'reillys auto parts will get you a set. bowtieguy 02-27-2006, 01:50 AM the gap is usaully .045 with an hei. thats what it is with my 454,check the book to make sure.back when i was running dirt track cars we tried them all and the best plug we found was autolite's.it just seemed that all the other plugs would breakdown for one reason or another.autolites we never had a problem with ,they could handle 6800rpm's all night long.
