i realised a little while ago my carpet was getting wet and not caused by shoes and stuff. it got pretty bad and its only on the passenger side. the worst is the back of the passenger seat..that whole carpet area gets soaked. my carpet is like 11 years old and has stains and stuff so i was gonna replace it later anyways..so i cut into my back carpet to see what i find....i took out all the super soaked cushioning and i have a puddle down there. i pull the little plug thats right there and the water all drains. i put a plastic peice down there and fold the carpet to hide what ive done...now heres what i know... the leak doesnt come from it sitting in rain. it only fills up with water when i drive around in the rain...so it has to be on the bottom and when water slings up it gets inside and pools down to there. so i plan on taking my passenger seat out and prolly back seat and rip up the carpeting completly and finding the leak and getting all new carpeting. so anyone have any ideas of a place over on the passenger floor that could be a leak spot? and how hard is it to pull out the seats?
thanks,

any ideas of what could be causing the leak though? and the carpet just goes up underneath the trim along the side..and that just comes off with screws right?

pretty much, im not sure if theres a glue or anything on there...should be able to take out the whole rug if you remove the center console

Check the weatherstrips around the door and window. The section behind the window was bad about leaks. Also check the trim around the right hand quarter trim.
If that doesn't help, take the car to a car wash, have a friend shoot that side of the car while you climp around on the inside looking for the leak.

so i got the passenger seat out and the carpet all lifted up. and i found right up agaisnt the front under the glove box theres a plastic like molding that comes down and behind that is some foam and that foam is soaked...all the way up it. i dried the bottom up and pour water all over the doors and windshield area and i found no water getting in. its gotta be getting in from driving in rain..but not just rain falling on it.[:@] any ideas?

is there a hole in the wheel well?

That plastic box houses your heater core and ac evaporator. there is a big hole in the firewall there. check the seal on the engine compartment box in the same area.

gaskets #40, 46, and 6 would be on the outside in the engine compartment.
