TimmyTheWop89 01-08-2006, 12:21 AM Wow not bad at all. i think a more rectangular open end radiator opening would look a little hotter, but i am not complaining. real badass car, i hope it comes out.
nj85z28 01-08-2006, 04:39 PM LS2 engine, btw;)
HURSTLT1 01-08-2006, 11:39 PM looks like a mustang humped a charger....but what can you expect...everything is a copy of something else
gmpartsguy 01-09-2006, 03:33 PM 2006 DETROIT AUTOSHOW (http://autoshow.msn.com/as/article.aspx?xml=GM3&shw=autoshow2006&src=autoshow2006Coverage)
Uufortunality it's just a concept. GM hasn't offically decided to produce it yet. But given the crowd at the unvailing, I would say it got a big push towards production.
toesuf94 01-10-2006, 12:30 AM We need to PUSH for the car - I was there - it is stunning in person. So mean it will make the 'Stangs piss thier panties! go to www.GMtv.com and see the reveal and listen to it...it is awesome and so unbelievable. I want!! (Grown men wept at the sight of the car - NO JOKE! )
The team did an awesome job of INTERPRETING the first gen without making an all out copy like the stang and Challenger. The car is so exciting that if you don't have an interest in it - you are a closet Ford lover and you need help!

I agree
GM is going to have to do better than that for me to be impressed.
nj85z28 01-10-2006, 07:07 PM our Admin Patrick, will be at the show Wednesday so hopefully he comes back with lots of new pics for us.:D
69RS/SS427 01-10-2006, 07:17 PM The picture is from the Road & Track Magazine. The link below will take you to an article and picture on it. The new Camaro might not come out until 2008 as a 2009 model.

00camaro 01-11-2006, 08:41 AM i dont think it looks that bad, im glad the whole thing isnt retro. what i dont like is how big the back is..kinda like a vettes back. the front looks alright...from the front it does look pretty mean. and im not too fond of the gill like things right after the doors..too rustangish. and the mirrors are a joke. but overall i like it and its alot better then what they did to the charger and the gto..so cant complain there.
gmpartsguy 01-11-2006, 08:50 PM I finally had the chance to watch the video last night. I think it looks great.
And knowing Bob Lutz, I would put money that they are working on tooling right now.
bootwagner 01-11-2006, 10:54 PM I think it looks hot, but don't worry it is just a concept. If it comes out Chevy would probably make some changes to it. Also, I would like to see a 5.3L V8 in it at around 25 thousand dollars, so I can soop it up without worrying about paying lots of money. Maybe even displacement on demand for better fuel economy as well.

I would not get my hopes up on paying 25k for a V8 if I were you , especially for a new Camaro , especially one that they would be bringing back. Look for this new machine to be over 30k for a V8 , SS
You will probably be looking at a regular V6 to be under 30 , but it will still be up there close to that ..........
69RS/SS427 01-12-2006, 12:04 AM As much as I like to buy one, I hope does not become a mustang with a V-6 and thousands on the street.

That is a statement that in most likely hood will become true to statement .............. if it does come to pass and it is put on the production line , then yes the V6 will be the one to sell the most .........
For us dihard fans of the Camaro ........ the wait for the LS3,SS or have it ordered to be placed in the garage to only taken out on sunny days in mid spring - summer then put away for the fall ................. that one will be costly ............... yet worth every penny !!!!!!!!!!!!
That my friend , is what I " WILL " do with mine if it does come to production.
Camaro02Car 01-13-2006, 07:18 PM There will be a V6 model without question but at this point I don't know if I care (even though I would want a 6) because I am not impressed what so ever. I don't think this car lives up the styling of the past and I for one and happy its only a concept. I would still like to see specs on it and have not been able to find any. I also heard chevy is doing that fuel thing where only 4 cyl. will be running most of the time unless all cyl. are needed. All I know is for cars like this I am more worried about preformance and less about fuel. I want a car that will beat the piss out of all thoes civics and not one that will 30mpg. Also what is up with the interior it looks terrable, they need to stop being so futuristic and stick with what works. MORE ISNT ALWAYS BETTER

gmpartsguy 01-13-2006, 08:05 PM The concept has a 400hp LS2 from a corvette with a 6-speed manual. and displacement on demand tech. said to get 30 mpg on highway.
chevy camaro 01-14-2006, 05:30 PM this 09 camaro concept interior is sawiiit.;)
85Camarodude 01-21-2006, 06:19 PM am i the only one who hates retro styling? i love the classic muscle cars dont get me wrong but these new throw backs dont do it for me. all i can think about is the PT cruiser. the kid that did his own rendering of a new camaro looked hot...he managed to capture the look of the classic camaro and made it wicked awesome, this concept isnt retro enough for me
i personally think they should go in a different direction w/ the styling
the dodge challenger is more along the lines of what i expected
but on the other hand, im very happy the camaro is coming back regardless of its look
the mustangs time is up

"but on the other hand, im very happy the camaro is coming back regardless of its look"
That my friend is the most important thing about this.
TimmyTheWop89 01-23-2006, 09:02 PM well you know what, i saw the challenger concept, and that is a real car. i think chevy needs to really step up when making this new camaro, because from what i see, the 09 challenger would sell more at the moment.
thirdgencamaro 02-09-2006, 10:36 PM thats a bad car

I agree. Can't stand the retro styling. One of the only things that I like about the concept, is that it will probably bring back the Camaro name. Just don't make it a four door like the Charger.
Oh and I have a tough time seeing any major differences between the new Camaro and Challenger. The only main differences I see: pointed front end vs. flat front end, and different hoods.
94Z28SHAKER 02-19-2006, 05:15 PM YES that car is sweet i was at the unveiling and it was great, the interior is awesome and my fav part is the rear quarter with the gas tank on top like the lambo's and the body lines were phenominal as well as the sound from the LS2 ... IF THEY MAKE IT I WILL BUY IT.

more i look at it better i like it... but they could really lose the front grille
2008 ZL1 02-22-2006, 02:42 AM I LOVE IT! Its about time. We can all thank the 2005 Mustang. Its ashamed that GM has to do a "Monkey See Monkey do" with Ford. But I guess better late than never. Lets just hope the final car is as enticing as the concept. This one could bankrupt GM for sure if they Boch this one up. Good luck Chevy! Make us proud and put in the LS-7 427 motor, complete with ZL-1 badges and COPO order forms.
2008 ZL1 02-22-2006, 12:53 PM Awesome! Just Awesome!
ZL-1 427 Baby!!!!!
blkcamaro 03-07-2006, 02:49 PM i lke the whole new type of look for the car, but i really kust dont like the nose at all. i dont really think that it resembles the old style.i definately think that they need to do something with that. I do like the interior and i also like widened body look, the wheels are pretty cool too. i cant wait until they do come out with something, and even if they dont change the front at all, it would be a start. Some kind of camaro is better then no camaro. The styling can alwayes be changed down the road.
bluez 03-11-2006, 01:00 AM What he said ... I think its FUGLY ... someone once said GM cars and trucks look like ANGRY appliances ... "SO TRUE"
