what year did they start with fuel injection?
did all z28s have 350s?
did all 350s come with auto?

The first year for fuel injection was 1982 with the unloved twin TBI `Cross Fire Injection'
Most z-28s have 305s
All 350s had 700R4 Automatic transmissions
I think that most 350s had 3:27 gears but some had 2:77s

TPI is much better but all systems have their little quirks. So far mine works great!!

86 was the first year for tpi
87 for the 350
A few later 3rd gens had 350s with six speeds(but you can't afford them)
My rearend is from a 87 TA w/350 and its a 3.27 or a 3.23, but it's a 9 bolt

1982 was the first year for factory fuel injection. It was also the first year the Camarowas built without front subframes or leaf-spring rear suspensions.
No. All Z-28's did not have 350 engines. (5.7) Some had the 305 H.O. (5.0)
The TPI 5.7 (350) came only with the four-speed automatic, the TPI 5.0 (305)wasonly available withfive-speed manual.
Gear ratios? I'm lost on that trivia.
Keep us posted on your 3rd gen. restoration.
