I'm glad to see lots of Yellow Camaro's. When I picked yellow for my 69 people thought I was crazy. Your car looks great!

It looks like you're doing an excelent job. I haven't posted since forever ago and am looking to see what others are doing to help in my restoration project. I also have a 68 but it is a convertible. I am also getting into the body by replacing floor pans, bushings, springs, brakes, etc. I'm trying to staymotivated with work and other projects going on.

Is it for front or rear? If it's for the front it would be a matter of how far you want to go with the money. I'd rather get the stuff new. If it's for the rear then going with a used rear axle IMO would be better. Going around the junk yards is cheaper and fun but brakes is something you would depend your life on. I pulled disc brakes set up off a 76 monte carlo and put them on a 66 caprice once and it was more hassle than I thought it would be. For what I paid for parts I really only saved $300 than if I would of went with new hardware. I saw some magazines that have kits for around $600 bucks or less and I think it's all worth it. Good luck
