I just purchased a 2001 Camaro with black interior, has the same problem but I can still see fine. Your best bet is to get a dash cover, that should eliminate your problem! One place is to go to http://www.godashmat.com. They have dash mats for Camaros, in any color you prefer (both for RS models and Z28 models).
