The same guy who kicks people out for picking on camaro sets a great example by ripping the mustang...although it is really funny.

i have nothing to do with "kicking people out". im only the Moderator

only the Admin can ban people

but anyway, if ford didnt want us to rip on them, they wouldnt keep making the mustang :D

Based on the concept pictures and talk about the new camaro, I think it will be a sweet car. I might just have to get one when it comes out. I will ignore any mustang comments since I was told by someone who just bashed them, not to start anything on here. ;) Have a nice day!

i wonder if they will release a new camaro, and when, because with Chevy's new lineup, i woudl think that they would have wanted to include the camaro with those...

nj85z28
09-29-2005, 07:33 PM
yea, i agree Patrick, the new SS lineup should have had the Camaro as it's flagship

I, personally am looking VERY forward to the new camaro. I just hope they stick with the "'69 body style".:)

i dont care for ricers but that new eclipse thats out looks pretty hot and the specs arent bad either

I'm don't really care what body style, im just hoping its at a decent price, with pwr to match. If not, i'm still gonna get 1, [8D] and try to get a vette motor in there. If i die, i wanna be doing 150+ n it, lol.

a few people who work for GM dealerships have said that a new camaro is definate now, but i dont know what it is supposed to look like..i would guess that they would use the Zeta platform ?

I read in motor trend that the camaro, chevelle, and any other rwd sport car was slammed and not happenin...

It's hard to tell if Chevy will create a new Camaro. The Zeta platform which the Camaro could have been on was cut except for the new GTO, although cutting the Zeta platform isn't the end of the Camaro. If Gm is thinking about bringing it back, they are working on it secretly. From what I know is that Pontiac is going to have a new GTO and most likely a RWD sedan. Chevy will have a new Malibu that will be as sexy as the old Bel Airs, and maybe a retro Impala that will be based on the 1967 version with RWD.

That image is what some guy created on his own just from what he gathered from articles and stuff. Most likely not going to look like that at all. These are the latest "concepts" that i have come across.......I love the green one!!! and the yellow one!

I like the hood and most of the front end. I don't like the side front from the start of the door back. I never see any pics of the rear either.

ive seen what the new camaros are suppose to look like and i love it. i was so heart broken when they stoped making them. i already told my husband that when the new ones come out i have to get me one no matter what it cost. and i told him his truck is getting kicked out of the garage and my two babies are going in there. i already hate his dusty truck being any where around my 99 camaro so heres a even better excuse to boot that truck to the driveway where it belongs.:D

The new Camaro if done right would be one of the best ones considering how far we have come in motors now. 400 Horses should do just fine. i dont think any stock engine besides the z06 will be able to beat it

Ummmm, you drive a Grand Prix and you're ripping on Mustangs?? Yeah, the Grand Prix. You know, another one of GM's long line of cars that all look almost EXACTLY the same. Is it a Grand Prix, a Grand Am, a Monte Carlo, an Impala, a GTO, a Lumina? the list goes on. Hell, the only way to tell the differance is to read the badging. At least Ford came out with one of the best looking cars of the decade with the S197 Mustang, and it can't be mistaken for ANYTHING else on the road. (BTW-nice numbers for your car, you can probably eat my stock Mustang any day of the week. But, if you want to try my 330HP SRT-4, it will be more even, you know, forced induction vrs. forced induction)

As for the new Camaro, from the side it looks similar to a 1st gen, which was (to me) the only good looking Camaro. From the front, it should have a red glowing light going side to side of that hideous front clip, and it seems like the car should talk to you. From the back, it just seems thrown together. They really need to do something with the front and rear clips for it to be a success.

Now the Challenger! There's a fine looking redition of a classic. Even better than the Mustang if you ask me.

i'm not happy,i purchased the 2002 ss,it was my understanding at the time that it was the last year for production camaro.Allthough i do think the o7 is a beautiful looking set of wheels.

I am a dodge man but I love muscle cars. I must say the new camaro looks the best out of all of the new concepts but I heard that they wont have a big V-8. Is that true? If so I think it will be a big mistake for chevy! I think the new camaro(with a V-8) will sell better then the mustang or even the new upcomming challenger!!!

I thought they said the new SS concept was ganna have the base C6 motor in it. (LS7 is it? or LS2?) Anyway it is ganna be fast if they stick with the plan. One of my patient's owns a Chevy dealership and he said it would prolly be 2009 b4 it is all said and done but who knows. I think the retro look is great. Although i cant say i wouldnt like to see a kick-butt new age style that expands on the 93-97 F body (my fav body style)

man thats the worst looking body for a camaro. It needs aftermarket parts to make it look good

THIS CONCEPT DRAWING HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A FEW YEARS BEFORE ANYTHING ACTUALLY TOOK PLACE WITH THIS THING. ALSO I DO HAVE TOO ADMIT I THOUGHT THE IDEA OF TRYING TO BRING BACK THE OLD SCHOOL LOOKS AND WAS KIND OF EXCITED, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE ITS MADE OF PLASTIC AND PERSONALLY I HATE THE ROUTE THAT GM TOOK WITH THE CORVETTE BY GIVING IT A LOOK SOME WHAT RESEMBLING A FERRARI ENZO'S, AND I HAVE A FEELING THEY MAY MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WITH THE NEW CAMARO.
