Hey guys, I am new to the forum and need your help. I've been looking for a fun 3rd car. I am open to different makes but really like the Z28 SS. I found what I think is a good deal on one. Its a 2000 SS convertible with 53k miles on it and hes asking 15k. Ive been away from the GMs for awhile and wanted to know if there is anything I should be aware of on that model. Any problems, recalls, etc. that I should be concerned about ? Is that a good deal ? Thanks guys for your help !

That seems like an OK deal, but since it is near the end of summer try and beat them up (convertible sports cars don't sell well in the cold months) . I own an 01 car and have no problems (other than the ones that I caused). I think it would make a nice toy car.

sounds like a lot for a car over 50k IMO, but good luck

Maybe so but try and find them, the f-bodys are actually in pretty high demand and the fact that it is an SS convertible makes it even more desirable.

idk, the car isnt worth that much IMO, but if someone will pay it then more power to them....i would love to have another SS....but not for that much, and def. not a convertable with over 50K on it...just my opinion

Thanks guys for the input ! I did a check on Kelly Blue book and it said for a 2000 SS 'vert with 53k miles that 15k was right on. I figure the car is almost 6 years old and hes not even averaging 10k miles a year on it. I thought that was pretty good. I did find a 2001 Z28 'vert with 45k miles and theyre asking 16k. Is that a better deal do you think ? Thanks again

I would go for the SS, I like the hood and spoiler better.
