I'm planning on installing a 500+ cubic inch big block in my 97 camaro. I was wondering if any one knows what all I have to do and get to do the swap. I know it may seem weird to do thisbut I've been wanting to do this for a long time. If any one knows anything then please let me know. Thanks.

The strut towers and firewall are gonna scroo you. A big block is a big undertaking!!!!!!!

It can be done. I saw a few with engine plates instead of bolting to the K-member. The engine sat a little high in the car but with a cowl hood, it fit nice. Big Block in a F-body= very nasty ride. Most people thought the 2 I know of had a loud mouth Small Block. But ran consistant low 9 second passes with a mild build. I also helped with one that a Nova clip was put under it and the frame built back from there. That was a lot of fabricating for steering and front end stuff. Never got to see it run. Good luck with the swap and post some pics when you get it going.
