What stuff have you done to your interior? What stuff do you plan to do?
Theres really not alot of posts in here, so I thought I would liven it up :)

I really dont have anything done to my interior except a leather silver and black steering wheel cover from afterthoughtsauto.com and on the steering wheel where it says camaro I have silver camaro letters to fill it in, from Brent Franker..

I plan on getting the white gauge overlays maybe different pedals and Im not sure what else.... I want a custom interior, but I dont want to mess up my stock stuff in my car.

Well everyone thinks iam crazy and out of my mind but heres my plans. I am going for a strip down race look. I am took out my center consle and got a hurst shifter boot and puting in straight to the floor. The shifter is the center piece. Iam pulling up the carpet and foam pading and cleaning my floor in prep to paint the bare metal black. As for the dash iam not sure i have a space to fill where the center consle met the radio, ill probley make some type of plate that fill the spot. Iam putting Black race seats up front and i have pulled the rear seat out also and iam painting the floor in the rear. The only thing that i dont know what to do with is the doors and plastic panels in the rear. In the end it should look like a stripped down race interior but very clean. Any thoughts?

All that is great, but for what the look? Cause your only going to lose like MAYBE 10 pounds and thats not going to make you that much faster.
I have a customer that has a superchargered cobra mustang and he did the same thing! I dont think that the lose in weight is worth the fact that for
no reason can you ever have friends with you!!! Also in my opion I dont think that looks good, UNLESS you are in deed going to go to the Track and race?

Just my thought!

So far in my third gen i took all the peices outta the dash you can and painted them bright red, in the process right now of taking the vents out and painting those red too, reverse glow gauges too and a 145 mph speedo change. Maybe even converting the dash to the 90-92 just like the look of those better and hope to get custom gauges soon. Oh and its got a Grant steering wheel. So far it looks pretty bomb i think.I would post photos but i need a cam..........

I have a 92 Camaro and it now has a B&M megashifter, no rear seats (simply because as tall as we are, there is no room in the back for anybody), racing seats up front with 5 point harnesses. Great feel for everyday driving, but works great for hard driving.

I had painted the dash and all the plastic interior trim to black. The interior was originally red. In the dash I took out the two vents and put switches in for the fuel pump, radiator fan, and ignition. On the dash itself I put a push button to crank the starter. I'm putting a roll cage in, two racing seats, Grant steering wheel, custom fiberglass A pillar gauge pod, radio, the rear speakers are Polk Audio with Pioneer speaker grills above the rear shelving material. I took the rear seat out and used the insulator as a template and I had welded in a plate and I had got some padding and wrapped it in vinyl. I am planning to put subs through that plate and a custom fiberglass box behind it. The dome light is the from a newer model Camaro. I have also made custom door sill plates out of Diamond Plate Aluminum. It looks bad ass. That's about all I got so far.

go to local metal shop and ask about diamond plating I think if you give them the dimentions they can give you a clean cut for a couple extra bucks.

My dash lights in my 89 purple RS are purple, as well as my turn signals on the inside. That's all that's been done so far, but I am getting new seats, a new shifter, and new pedals. That's all it needs, but other than that I will eventually have a sound system, a new headliner (maybe purple, not sure yet), and a couple of small trim pieces need to be replaced. I will get a new dash pad too eventually.

For my blue 82 Berlinetta, it needs everything. New seats, new shifter, new carpet, new dash pad, new trim pieces, new console lid, new seat belts, new door sill plates. It needs to be badly restored, and when I have the money it will. :)

Hi Wendy,

The 82 Berlinetta sounds like a diamond in the ruff. Be sure to take some before and after pictures I would love to see some picks.

Good luck with everything,
Mike

ive only done a few things to my interior so far. right now i just had a custom built head liner put in it cuz the old one was falling down. ive got neons under the front dash and a custom built box for four 12" subs. my CD player is built into the headliner right above the rear view mirror. ive still got alot of plans for the car though.

My 97 ss has a beige interior thats pretty rough. I plan on changing it to dark grey. I'm a bit worried about the difficult of this, especially the carpet [sm=badidea.gif]
