I'd just like to say "hello," because I'm new here.

I have a 1994 B4C Camaro with the 4L60E, and I love it. Not much difference between the B4C and the Z28, but you have a sort of "exclusivity" with the B4C. Nothing against Z28s, of course, but with a choice, I'd choose the B4C every time.

However, as any other Camaro, they are expensive to maintain/repair/modify. I added up costs and they tallied $15,000 since I've owned the car. I've owned the car for just over 9 years, and my SECOND rebuilt transmission just blew up on me yesterday. Tack that up to about $17,000 in costs over the course of 9 years. I purchased the car for $14,300.

As for getting a good deal on a B4C, they normally don't carry much premium over that of a Z28, but be careful, as most of them are beaten on by the police. Fortunately, when I bought mine off of a lot, it had never been in service. However, that doesn't mean that the previous owner didn't beat on it.

I would say that the B4C is worth the extra money. It also depends on what year that you have. As the first ones were very different indeed 91/92 as the 1 LE option was standard with the package along with A/C, remember that when the 1 LE option was ordered on a Z 28 the A/C had to be deleted, they also had special baffles in the gas tank to keep fuel around the fuel pump while cornering, special braces in the roof, the 92's came with corvette runners on the intake, also a heavy duty wiring pkg. I am lucky enough to have a cherry B4C that has never been in service there were 589 made in 1992 only 50 of them were released to the general public. I have the deluxe interior not the cheap cop interior also a factory CD. The only way that a Z28 can compare to this car is the one that had the 1 LE pkg as far as rarity goes. I will now touch on the later models 93/02 they ARE basically a Z28 the only value there is the code in the options and a little better gearing and computer tuning. I also have a 97 B4C it will blow the doors off of the 92 but it does not have the collector value of the 92. I am also open to any more information Thanks for reading Joe and Melissa Knott Frankfort Kentucky

I am new to this forum and did not feel comfortable starting a new thread.
I have recently bought a white 2002 B4C and also I have the advertising poster which has the caption "Here speeder speeder speeder".
Anyone looking at this old thread who can identify the wheels which are on the B4C in that poster? The 2002 factory wheels are not chrome but rather the grey color.
Thanks

I have the grey wheels you are talking about in the poster, can you post it...btw they are cast alum...The B4C's are worth the money, they have the alum drive shaft, upgraded susp setup, sway bars etc

I can post a link to the poster, I think. I bought mine on
eBay, less than $20.
Link is

is not very high resolution.

My B4C came from Florida. It is in great shape. It will be a shock to the car when the -30F hits. Does not have a block heater. (I am in Calgary, Canada)
I think someone got some air time with it because I had to do some front suspension adjustments and the left side exhaust is squashed a bit. But it is a great car.
I have driven 99 - 02 Camaro's before, but none was my own car. I don't now if it is because of the hard seat and road noise of the B4C or that I can run hard in my own car but this thing turns like it's on rails. Very flat cornering I will take it to a track in the spring to see if it understeers. It should it is so heavy in the front. Of course with the throttle I can make it oversteer at will. If I brave it in the snow I am sure understeer will be a problem. This is a driver but probably not enjoyable in the winter. Over the winter I plan to look into the computer. Don't know yet what I will do with it, more research is necessary.
