i am located in vidalia georgia and usually go to the local drag strips. i was wandering if there is anyone else that lives in georgia or south carolina that drag races regulary. i am close to and sometimes attend the races at savannah, douglas ga, reynolds ga, commerce ga, valdosta ga or jackson s.c. i always see a bunch of mustangs out there and wouldn't mind seeing some camaros blow their doors off.

I live in central NC, sort of close but not enough that I race down around Savannah, etc. We run up in southern VA and down in southern NC sometimes and once went to a strip somewhere in northern SC, south of Charlotte somewhere. Generally we try to run in non-IHRA events since the vette doesn't and never will have a roll cage (its a street car) and is disallowed in its class. The Camaro does however so we run it pretty hard (blew up the stock block with NOS but this one seems to be bulletproof). The Porsche we run just for the hell of it, it really isn't that fast even for a pure stocker.
'04 Porsche Carrera 2 - best 13.48 @ 105
'02 ZO6 with Charlie Hempfield built 427 cubic inch C5R and Ati D1SC supercharger running only 4.5 lb boost (right now): best of 10.0@137 (based on calibrated G-tech, never run at sanctioned tracks)
98 Camaro with Horsepower Engineeing FE 408 and big-port AFR heads, 11.5:1 on pump gas+250 NOS, locker axle, etc. 9.97@140 (the G-tech used in the 'vette said 9.94 at 141 on this run).
