Hey guys I am a new camaro owner. Never really had a camaro before and now I have a 95 z28 6spd. I love the car but it needs some exhaust. I was looking at summit racing and jegs to find some exhaust but I am a little confused about whether the car stays in with these exhaust systems or not. I don't want anything too loud but definitely want some rummble. I am going to get headers/y-pipe and a cat back system. I was wondering what a good cost effective exhaust system would be. IE... flowmaster, edlebrock, magnaflow..... Will it be really loud with removing the cat? Or should I keep it in there? If I remove the cat does any system come set up for that? Also where would be a good place to look for exhaust? I see bbk makes headers for my car which comes with a y-pipe. Is this a good set up? I really want the tips to be stainless and come straight out the back, with a large like 3" or bigger diam. Let me know what you guys are running and how it sounds. Thanks in advance for the help.......
P.S. will I have to do some kind of chip to run the exhaust and maintain driveability?

AS the name implies, cat back system means everything from the cat back is changed, but the cat stays.

Yeah but do they make a system where the cat goes? Or is there a test pipe to buy and put in place of the cat?

You can replace the cat with a test pipe, if you can find it, or just have a plain pipe welded in. If you have smog inspection the car will fail without the cat.
