Why do some Turbos have a split inlet? IE http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T70-Turbo-RX7-S13-S14-Supra-A-R-70-W-Boost-Controller_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33741QQihZ01 9QQitemZ290088760120QQrdZ1

It's just like a carb with a spread bore or a split bore or an open bore.

So do you see any problems using this in a rear mount turbo set-up? Thanks

Rear mount turbos lose the velocity of the exhaust. It can't take advantage of the exhaust pulses to spool the turbo up faster. The intake is so far away, when it gets to the throttle body there is boost but no velocity. So I don't personally recomend them.

Thanks Norm, you seem to know what your talking about. What is the difference between Boost and Velocity? Thanks
